
August 21 Golf Tournament Information
Registration
• Please register using the on-line registration on this site (link above). Personal information will be stored on our secure server and credit card info will be purged after billing. Payment will take place through PayPal which is also secure. Fee is tax deductible under charitable contributions. Sign-up now! Single entries welcome!
Once you sign up and you bring in another foursome, you will recieve a $50 git certificate at a local restaurant at the Awards Dinner if that player/team is the 100th to sign up. If you are the 100th player to sign up, you will receive a $100 gift certificate to Seven Sisters, the Black Oak Casino's premier restaurant. The seller will receive a $50 local restaurant gift certificate as well. The winners will be announced at the Awards Dinner.
Event Sponsorships
• We encourage you to look at our sponsorwhip packages (link above). There are opportunities for every budget. A great advertising and exposure opportunity. In the Gold package, you can even have the event named in your honor. Your company name and logo even get listed on this web site. Attire (These are Golf Course rules)
• Be sure to wear comfortable clothing, so you are ready for action. Gentlemen must wear collared garment at all times. Tank tops or tee shirts are not allowed on the course at any time. Mid-length shorts are allowed. No running shorts or cutoffs. Golf shoes or flat-soled shoes are allowed. Field shoes of any kind are not allowed.
Other Rules (These are Golf Course rules)
- Absolutely no food, beverages, or ice chests are to be brought on the premises — other than the contents of tee bags and purchases from the drink cart
- Operators of golf carts must be at least 18 years old.
More rules (These are Tournament rules)
— Mulligans
- Four-person scramble: each player hits from the tee and then the best ball is selected for the next shot. Each player then plays a ball from the location of the chosen ball, and once again the best ball is selected for the subsequent shot until play is finished on any given hole. This procedure is repeated for each hole.
- Men will play from the white tee.
- Women will play from the red tee.
— String
- Sealed envelopes containing a length of string are available for purchase at the sign-in area. Lengths are five, seven, and 10 feet. Purchasers will not know the length of the string until after the envelope is purchased and opened.
- Purchases are limited to one envelope per player.
- An envelope may be purchased for $5
- String may be used on any hole except those holes designated for the Closest-to-the-Hole, Longest Drive, and Hole-in-One contests.
- To use string, cut off a piece of the string the length of the distance of the desired extension.
- Plese do not discard any string on the golf course. Dispose of both used and unused string in the glovebox of the golf cart.
— On-course Contests — one attempt per player
- The Closest-to-the-Hole Contest is on Hole 5. There is a separate contest for men and women. Winners will receive an award. This contest is complimentary.
- The Hole-in-One Contest is on Hole 7. The prize is $10,000. A Hole Marshal will witness each attempt. This contest is complimentary.
- The option of taking the golf pro's drive is on Hole 12. All players and the pro will hit from the tee. For a cash donation, the team then has the option of taking the next shot from the location of the pro's ball. The minimum donaton is $5 per team. Pay the golf pro.
- The Longest Drive Contest is on Hole 16. There is a separate contest for men and women. Winners will receive an award. This contest is complimentary
— Winners: Team will each receive a Gift Certificate to the Pro Shop
- 1st Place = $250 ($62.50 each player)
- 2nd Place = $150 ($37.50 each player)
- 3rd Place = $100 ($25 each player)
— Drink Cart
- The drink cart will make its rounds on the course during the Tournament.
- Six drink tickets at a value of $1 each will be provided to each player at the sign-in area. The tickets are included in the complimentary Tee Bags.
- Additional drinks may be purchased at the cart or the bar on the 9th and 13th holes.
- Gratuities will be greatly appreciated at the cart and the bar.
— Raffle Tickets (please tip generously or we will be charged an 18% gratuity).
- Unlimited raffle tickets are $1 each or six for $5 or 15 for $10 or your height for $20. Raffle tickets will be sold during check-in and at the 17th Hole.
— Silent Auction
- Silent-auction prizes or a description of them are on display in the clubhouse.
- A separate form is provided for each prize to facilitate bidding. You may bid on all items.
- There is no limit to the number of bids (i.e. if someone has outbid you, you may outbid them).
- Bidding will be cut off prior to the start of dinner.

- 9:00 a.m. - Shotgun Start of the Tournament
- 3:00 p.m. - Awards Dinner
Entry Fee
• The entry fee is $90 per person and includes Green Fees for 18-hole Scramble, complimentary range balls, riding cart, Tee Bag, On-Course Contests, Awards Dinner, and more!
Hole-in-One
• Make a hole-in-one on our selected 7th hole and take home $10,000.
Proceeds
The net proceeds will be used for the many charitible pursuits done by the largest chapter in the state. Last year (2008), Chapter 391 donated over $27,000 to such charities as Meals on Wheels. We also gave 30 Thanksgiving and Christmas baskets to our elderly residents who would not have had a good meal.
